Public health and the environment has always been a passion of mine.  I also value civic engagement and was looking for an opportunity to become more involved in my community.  Participating on the MSMVCD Board of Trustees seemed like the perfect fit!

What is your relevant expertise?

In my current position I’m familiar with the practical application of vector control methods as there are several open-air recycled water holding ponds at water reclamation facility in Windsor where I work.  I have a background in Biology and Public Administration and am familiar with local government procedures.

Educational/Professional background:

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Masters in Public Administration, both from Sonoma State University.  I have been employed in the water and wastewater sector for 16 years and have worked for the Town of Windsor as an Environmental Program Manager for the last 7 years.  In my current role I over see environmental programs for potable water, wastewater, recycled water, biosolids and storm water.

I am involved at both the state and local section level for the California Water Environment Association.  I also am the Chair for the Advisory Committee for the Water and Wastewater Program at the Santa Rosa Junior College, and I am on the Board of Directors for BAYWORK (a non-profit with the mission of creating operational reliability among water and wastewater utilities.
